I remember the day it all began.
My school was taking part in an event called the TES Newsday, whereby a group of students would produce a newspaper in a day.
Our publication was called ‘The Grapvine’ and I was honoured to be made front page editor. We were in the library at 8am and didn’t leave until after 5pm, far longer than any 15 year old was used to spending in school.
I wrote film reviews, articles and organised the front page layout and it was the best way I ever spent a school day.
Walking home that evening I remember saying my to friend Joe ‘I want to be a journalist’.
